April 29th - Razorback Player Auctions

The player auctions were held after training at the Hawthorn Hotel and many thanks to the attendees which made it a great night for all. The parmas were once again delicious and the teams for the weekend against Chadstone were announced. This was the lead up to the much anticipated main event - The Player Auctions.

M.C. Adam Hyman, was auctioneer and occassional bidder in the process raising almost $330 dollars for the club. Many syndicates are now looking forward to the end of season ball, where the winners of the Player Auction will be announced with the major prize amounting to more than $800.

April 17th - Past Players Function / Family Day

Past Players came down down to the recently renovated rooms and enjoyed an awesome Autumn day in the sunshine watching the Razorbacks win both the firsts and the seconds. It was good to see some new faces of the families who came as well as the old faces from our past contributors all joining in supporting the Razorbacks in one of the largest crowds this Razorback has seen since joining the club. Thanks to all those who came and made the day a memorable one.

Special Thanks go to Robert Goode for his work in running and catering the past players function. His playing days are over for the first time (he may put the boots back on later in the season), but his commitment to the club since its inception show that we need more blokes like him.

April 8th - Jumper Presentation 2010.

The jumper presentation was a huge success with nearly all of the players turning up to our major sponsors The Hawthorn Hotel after training on Thursday night. The players were treated to a new $15 dollar menu for thursday nights and the quality of the food was exceptional.

We had annoncements from the coaches of our first seniors and reserves teams and the announcement of Adam Hyman as Senior Captain with his assistants Batman (Michael Manning), CAPSLOCK (Mitch Hodgson), Filthy (Phil Wild). Todd Kitchen was named Reserves Captain with Pete (Hassle) Hough named as his assistant.

Another major announcement for the night was of the Swinburne Univwersity amateur football clubs first netball teams aptly called the 'Razorbabes'! We wish all of the girls to have an exciting and successful first season together in their affiliation with the club and we hope that a few of the Razorbacks get down to watch the girls play.
